Today, we are proud to introduce the all-new Fortuner with superior technology, product and service. Hiroyuki Fukui, President and Director of Toyota Indonesia, said, "In line with the spirit of Toyota, the all-new Fortuner incorporates features that are developed to deliver a car with performance that is capable of exceeding customer expectations for a true sport utility vehicle. It will compete with the Ford Endeavour and Chevrolet Trailblazer in the Indian market when launched. It is still due for an official unveiling in India and we expect Toyota Kirloskar Motors to showcase it at the upcoming 2016 Auto Expo. The new Fortuner will be manufactured at Toyota's production plant in Karawang. This will be offered as a single variant - only as a 2WD vehicle in the SRZ trim. The petrol variant is powered by a 2.7-litre VVT-i engine (163bhp, 242Nm) and comes paired to the six-speed automatic transmission. This mill churns out 149.6bhp of power and 400Nm of torque and is offered in two trims G and VRZ with the availability of 2WD and 4WD. The SUV gets the new 2.4-litre diesel unit matched to a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic gearbox.
